What is a tail Lift & why does it need inspection and how often is an inspection required?
A tail lift is a mechanical device permanently installed on the rear of a work truck, van, or lorry, and is designed to facilitate the materials handling of goods from ground level or a loading dock to the level of the vehicle bed, or vice versa.
A tail lift should be inspected every six months
It is a legal requirement to have a current report of the tail lift examination for the tail-lift that is fitted to the vehicle.
